Ashley Ray – Top Country Women To Look Out For

Ashley Ray was mentioned in a recent article on TheExaminer.com stating she is one of the top country women in 2010 to look out for! Very cool!

“Kentucky country music fans got a taste of Ashley Ray’s music when she opened up for Eric Church at the UK Singletary Center in 2009. While on the tour, she “couch surfed” by visiting the homes of fans from town to town. Her adventures brought her closer to the fans and provided the best tourist approach to each town. Blending the twang with the sweet soulful vocals, she has made quite a following. Her latest single, Dirt Cheap, is available on Itunes and has been released to radio stations. The Kansas native is now making a scene down in Texas, following the leagues of the honkytonk heroes.”

“An Old Friend Of Mine” up for Song Of The Year

Joe Nichols has made the final round of nominees for The 9513′s 2nd Annual Country Music Awards!

“An Old Friend Of Mine” has made this year’s ballot in their Song Of The Year category.

It’s now time for fans to vote for this year’s winners. VOTE HERE!

Joe Nichols Enters the New Year with a Top 30 Hit

Show Dog-Universal Music recording artist Joe Nichols opened 2010 just like he spent and closed 2009-with a lot of great stuff on his plate. His new single,”Gimmie That Girl,” is already a Top 30 hit and his clip file is packed with glowing reviews of his latest CD, Old Things New. The Brent Rowan-Mark Wright produced CD was one of the most critically acclaimed releases of Joe’s career, with a number of “one of the year’s best country albums” references throughout the stack of reviews.

In addition to all of the glowing reviews and hit singles, Joe also found time to travel to the Middle East to perform for the troops stationed in Iraq and Kuwait. While there, he recorded “Joe Nichols: My Military Diary,”a travel documentary of his journey, which premiered on GAC TV in November and rebroadcast throughout the holiday season. By all measures, the show was a big hit for the network.

Following his June trip overseas, Joe received two more invitations: to perform at the ACM Honors concert in Nashville and the Missing Peace Concert in Memphis. The first concert honored Merle Haggard and allowed Joe to perform “Okie From Muskogee,” while the Memphis performance was attended by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Joe performed “Believers,” the lead single from Old Things New.

Another track from the CD generated not only a lot of buzz, but a website dedicated to helping those struggling with addiction and recovery. The song “An Old Friend Of Mine,” has been singled out by critics time and again as one of the most significant songs on an already highly praised and significant recording.

Following a few weeks off the road, Joe will hit the concert trail heavily in 2010. To keep locked in on concert dates and news, please visit www.joenichols.com.
