Crowd Surf is happy to introduce three of our newest clients… B. Reith, Joe Nichols, and Ashley Ray!

    B. Reith
    B. ReithNot many recording artists carry the titles “singer, rapper, songwriter & producer” and stand out in each category. But Gotee Records’ latest signing B.Reith defies expectations and excels in each of these roles.
When Gotee founder Toby Mac first heard B.Reith’s (born Brian Reith) music in 2006 he pulled his car over to the side of the road. “It’s amazing when God truly gives someone a gift,” says Toby. “Brian is just naturally gifted from God vocally and his lyrics, when they hit tape, they sort of just ease into your heart.”

With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Lauryn Hill, B.Reith comes from a unique place that combines classic soul with modern hip hop. “God gave me an ear to pick up things,” says Brian. “My style is just an accumulation of what I’ve heard throughout my life, channeled through the unique talents that God has given me.”

B’s new album, “Now Is Not Forever” hits stores September 22nd. Check out his music on MySpace and follow him on Twitter!

    Joe Nichols
Joe Nichols At 19, Joe Nichols secured a record deal on Intersound Records before the label folded. In 1999, he met studio guitarist Brent Rowan, who ultimately produced Nichols’ 2002 album Man With a Memory, the first project from the Universal South imprint. Nichols and the song “The Impossible” earned a total of three Grammy nominations and “Brokenheartsville” hit No. 1.

In 2004, he issued his second album, Revelation, which offered two Top 10 hits (“If Nobody Believed in You” and “What’s a Guy Gotta Do”). He also released A Traditional Christmas at the end of the year.
His career received a boost in the summer of 2005 when the memorable single “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” found favor at country radio. As a result, his album, III, was quickly certified gold

Real Things, Joe Nichols’ fourth album for Universal Records South, is thirteen songs about loss and victory, depression and transcendence, fleetingness and permanence, grit and grace, love and fighting. The collection presents the 30-year-old native of Rogers, Arkansas at the top of his vocal game.

    Ashley Ray
Ashley Ray She may have a cute little doll face, a soft, unassuming demeanor, but don’t let that fool ya. Ashley Ray is not quite America’s sweetheart. Take the fiercely competitive streak that comes out if you try and beat her at darts, or the way she’s perfectly at home in dive bars where she can more than handle her half of the bucket of beer. She’s a former cheerleader who just might kick your ass if you bring that up.

With her debut album in the works at Universal South , the world is about to know the truth about this 25-year old Kansas native, a girl who always knew what she wanted to be, and didn’t quit until she got there. She’s standing at the door of country music, and with well crafted, heartfelt songs that draw on the genre’s history while barreling towards the future, she’s ready to kick it down. It’s just your typical American success story… being lived out by someone who’s anything but ordinary.
